SELEUKID KINGS. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 16.72 g, 2 h), a contemporary imitation, uncertain mint in the East, after 296/5. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / [ΣEΛEΥKOΥ] Athena, brandishing spear overhead in her right hand and holding shield in her left, standing right in quadriga of elephants moving to right; above to right, anchor right. Cf. SC 156-7 (for prototype). Light roughness and the reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
